BACOLOD City — A most wanted person in this city was one of the three suspects in killing a bar manager here last week.
Jestoni Carlo Del Prado of Brgy. 35 was charged with murder over the fatal shooting of Melecio Endrinal on Thursday last week.
He was identified through the witnesses’ accounts and the cartographic sketch released by the National Bureau Investigation (NBI) here.
Senior Insp. Charles Gever, Bacolod City Police Station 8 commander, filed the case before the City Prosecutor’s Office on Monday.
Endrinal, 38, of Brgy. Tangub was shot while eating breakfast in Zharnn’s Grill and Restaurant in Brgy. Singcang–Airport.
Gever said personal grudge was the motive in the incident.
Endrinal had an altercation with Del Prado and two others, who pretended as NBI agents and tried to extort something from him, said Gever.
A hot pursuit was launched against Del Prado and his cohorts, said Supt. Armando Tubongbanua, city police spokesperson.
Del Prado has been charged with rape, robbery and double-homicide over the rape-slay of two house helps and the robbery of a house in Villa Angela Subdivision here in 2011./PN
