  • The new city hall building of Bacolod City is a project of Mayor Evelio Leonardia. Inaugurated in 2008, the city hall in Barangay Villamonte was then popularly called the New Government Center but during the term of then mayor Monico Puentevella, the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved an ordinance officially naming it the "People's House of Bacolod."
