League turns over P1.2M
to Panay's typhoon-hit provinces

ILOILO City – The League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) turned over P1.2 million in financial aid to four provinces in Panay Island hard-hit by Typhoon “Frank.”

The ceremonial turnover was held during the expanded Regional Development Council (RDC) meeting at the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) building here. League National President and Misamis Occidental Gov. Loreto Leo Ocampos brought the checks.

The provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz and Iloilo each received P300,000.

Governors Carlito Marquez of Aklan, Salvacion Zaldivar Perez of Antique, Victor Tanco Sr. of Capiz and Niel Tupas Sr. of Aklan received the check.

Ocampos said the financial support for Negros Occidental and Guimaras will arrive soon. (PNA)
