Drug pusher gets ‘life’

CEBU City – A man will spend his entire life in jail. The court found him guilty for selling of shabu.

Regional Trial Court Judge Gabriel Ingles also ordered Alberto Oralde of Brgy. Duljo-Fatima to pay a fine of P300,000.

After Oralde’s arrest for selling two packs of shabu to a police poseur-buyer, arresting officers recovered seven more packs of shabu from him on May 20 last year.

PO1 Melberto Yosores testified in court that after they received a tip from their informant about Oralde’s illegal drug activities in Sitio Plastikan, a buy-bust operation against the drug pusher was quickly organized.

For his defense, Oralde tried to convince the court that his was framed-up by the arresting officers. He also claimed that the cops tried to extort P100,000 from him.

But the court did not find any probative weight on Oralde’s claim./PN
