PDEA to open office in Roxas City

ROXAS CITY - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) will soon be establishing office here as part of its intensified campaign against the proliferation of illegal drugs.

PDEA Regional Director Roybel Sanchez said their office in Roxas City will already be opened by next month.

Sanchez said he will be deploying six personnel in the city of the currently 25 in the whole region who will man their office there and intensify their campaign against illegal drugs.

Roxas City, according to Sanchez, has 30 drug dealers of which are considered to be big time. These drug dealers are under the surveillance of PDEA agents.

Last week, the PDEA has given commendation to Judge Charlito Fantillanan and Prosecutor Alma Delfin for the conviction of drug pusher Noel De la Cruz Oliva of this city who was meted out with life imprisonment and a fine of P500,000.

Sanchez said the mayors of these two key cities in Western Visayas are very supportive to their campaign.(PNA)
