PCSO uses photos to spread 'charity virus'

ROXAS City— The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) launched a national photo competition to give due recognition to the photographic works showing "acts of kindness done by people from all walks of life."

The competition, which has "Isang Pitik sa Charity” for its theme, was conceived to promote the institutional message of PCSO – "Spread The Charity Virus."

It has two categories - Professional and Amateur.

All subjects must cover acts of charity or kindness of Filipinos in different settings or circumstances shown in different walks of life.

The contest is open to all professional and amateur photographers. Entry size should be 11" x 14" with or without borders. Low-resolution images will be disqualified.

Entries can be colored and/or black & white. Photos that are digitally altered are not allowed. Those that have won in national or international competitions are disqualified.

Prizes at stake for both categories are: First Prize – P100,000.00; Second Prize – P50,000.00; and, Third Prize – P30,000.00. There will be 12 consolation prizes of P5,000.00.

Entries may be submitted to the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) or PCSO. Details of the competition can also be obtained from said agencies.

Deadline for submission of entries is August 1 at 5 p.m. (PNA)
