KABANKALAN City - Two banks and an appliance store opened a branch in Kabankalan recently.

The City Savings Bank, an Aboitiz Company based in Cebu, has opened its second extension office at LM building, Guanzon St. while the United Coconut Planters Bank, has its branch at the corner of Repullo St. and Justice J.Y. Perez Memorial Highway.

CSB Branch Manager Emilio Lopez Lagman said he sees a bright future for the bank in Kabankalan.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Appliance Plaza from Iloilo City opened a branch in a company-owned two-storey building also located at Guanzon Street.

The influx of investors coming to Kabankalan is simply an affirmation of the conducive business climate in the city which was recently named as the Most Competitive City in Western Visayas and fourth in the Visayas region in an annual survey conducted by the Asian Institute of Management Policy Center, said Higino Sixto Garaygay, Kabankalan city administrator. /PN
