League of Provinces gives
P300-T aid to typhoon victims

ANTIQUE—The League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) yesterday turned over P300,000 to the provincial government as a financial aid for the typhoon victims here.

Governor Salvacion Perez received the checks in behalf of the province.

The ceremonial turnover was held during the expanded Regional Development Council (RDC) VI meeting at the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) building in Iloilo City led by its national president, Misamis Occidental Governor Loreto Leo S. Ocampos.

Aside from Antique, the provinces of Aklan, Capiz and Iloilo each also received P300,000.

Ocampos said that the support for Negros Occidental and Guimaras will arrive soon.
He also said he admired the resiliency and strength of typhoon victims.

The turnover was witnessed by Justice Secretary Raul Gonzales Sr., Presidential Assistant for Western Visayas Raul Banias, Negros Occidental Governor Isidro Zayco, Gov. Felipe Hilan Nava of Guimaras and members of the RDC. (PNA)
