THIS ISSUE, it is our privilege to bring to our readers,
which otherwise they would not know, the 5-pillar program of the Arroyo
Government through the Department of Agricultural on its bid to give
its best foot forward in the agriculture sector. The program, spurred
by the latest in agricultural science and the best practices in the
world, is aimed at providing leadership and full assistance to our
farmers in food production so that every Filipino, whether rich or
poor, will have rice and the other basic food items on their tables.
The program also hopes to export some of these food products before
the end of the term of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in 2010.
