THE 5th TravelXchange opens here, offering fair visitors
attractive tour and holiday packages throughout the Philippines
and abroad.
This annual travel fair will run until this Sunday, August
22. Hotels and resorts from the most popular tourist destinations
in Manila, Cebu, Palawan and Boracay will promote their properties.
TravelXchange is held annually since its inception in 2006
in cooperation with the Department of Tourism. It has been
attracting tens of thousands of visitors with an interest
in travel and tourism.
President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III lauded
the travel fair. He said tourism brings substantial investments
and creates much needed jobs in the communities surrounding
these travel destinations.
“We are glad to have you with us as we try to fulfill
our promise of creating more jobs and generating economic
expansion that would benefit more Filipinos,” the President
said.
This year’s edition has the backing of the Negros Occidental
provincial government and Bacolod City government.
Visitors have the opportunity to win valuable prizes in the
daily raffle draws and fun games.
The Tourism Investment Economic Zone Authority will feature
their tourist attractions such as the Light & Sound Museum
in Intramuros Manila, Malasag Eco-Tourism Village in Cagayan
de Oro, golf courses in Zamboanga and Intramuros, hotel and
youth hostel in Banaue and Balicasag Island Dive Resort in
Panglao, Bohol.
